(he/him/his) LUCKY PRICE (nee Eliza Gorka) is a Casting Director, Creative Consultant, TRANSlator and Documentarian. He is the proud Husband of Emma and Father to darling Bertie. 

Graduating from Theatre Nepean in 2001, Lucky entered the arts and entertainment industry via the Stage Door working with organisations such as The Sydney Festival, Mardi Gras Festival, Ensemble Theatre, Belvoir Street Theatre and the Sydney Opera House on over 30 productions as a Stage and Event Manager. 

After leaving theatre production he worked as an Actors Agent, with Sophie Jermyn Management. Lucky has amassed extensive credits as a Casting Director with over ten years experience with acclaimed Sydney agency McGregor Casting under the ever-inspiring Kirsty McGregor. He has had the pleasure of working on numerous productions, across a range of mediums with a diverse roster of producers, directors, studios and networks both here and abroad. 

Lucky has a penchant for finding the most extraordinary ordinary people and has become one of Australia’s premier human hunters, most notably as Casting Director for Channel Nine’s The Block for 12 seasons. Other credits include Reno Rumble, Farmer Wants a Wife, Dating in the Dark, X Factor, Home Made and most recently the new cooking program The Chef’s Line for Eureka Productions and SBS Australia. 

Lucky was identified female at birth and at the age of 34 transitioned his gender to male. He identifies as a camp as guts straight trans male. Since transitioning in 2014 Lucky has become an advocate for Trans visibility and is dedicated to raising awareness of the trans experience through education and action.
